AMOS N' ANDY-Oh, Hell yeah! This is a tragically vanished sitcom, based on a radio show that starred white men as black men, in this show the cast is made up of black comics. They are talented, the scripts are funny and seem to be no more offensive than "Sanford and Son", but somehow they have disappeared, deemed as "racist". The saddest thing about this is like Mantan Moreland and others, the cast of this show helped pave the way for other African Americans to have starring roles in television and film. Instead of receiving kudos for this, their contribution is getting buried. Check this out while you can. Only 2 episodes, but the quality is good/very good. Please note if request is strong we will soon add a few mp3 disks of the old radio show to our CD section. Thanks!

ASTONISHING SHE MONSTER-1958. B/W Hollywood gangsters kidnap a Beverly Hills socialite in her Cadillac convertible and wisk her off to a remote mountain cabin, where a curvy "starlet" in a Spandex spacesuit lands in her "white light" spaceship to bring handsome leading man, Robert Clarke, a message and to heat up his hormones. One problem with this cosmic encounter -- her touch is deadly, so no messing around. An uncredited Ed Wood was consultant on this crappy classic. Good quality.

ATOM AGE VAMPIRE-Great Italian sci-fi/horror film from 1960 about a stripped who is disfigured in an accident and gives up on life. At this moment before she decides to kill herself, a woman shows up and tells her about a scientist who can help her. The scientist does in fact restore her beauty but its at the expense of murdering other young women in order to obtain their glands! Now, the doctor wants to have the young beauty for himself and will stop at nothing! A fun film indeed! Good-very good quality and is in English. Recommended!

THE BEAT GENERATION -(1959) Dir. Charles Haas.  Ray Danton is a serial rapist and Mamie Van Doren is on his list.  Steve Cochran is on the trail, and all the juvenile delinquents hang out listening to jazz- cameo by Louis Armstrong, even Maila “ Vampira “ Nurmi appears in blonde hair exciting beatnick poetry while caressing a rat! This is a picture simply too amazing for words.  In okay / good quality in English.

BEYOND THE TIME BARRIER-Another great sci-fi flick from 1960! A pilot sets out to test a new rocket and ends up traveling in time to the future in which a horrible radiation storm has killed off most people and have made them infertile. Now he is sought after to help one fertile woman re-populate the world. But he does his best to travel back to his own time in order to warm the world of the dangers! FUN stuff here! Good-very good picture quality. Recommended!

BLACK DOLL -(1938) directed by Otis Garrett.  A rich but crooked businessman and several other people are murdered in an old, dark, seaside house. A black Mexican voodoo doll is left with each dead body. A detective is called to the house to try to solve the mystery and find the killer. A very rare oldie in English.

BLOODLUST-Fun 1961 drive-in fare that’s a sort of rip-off of THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME. A group of young adults take a trip to a seemingly deserted island. Once there they are met by an eccentric recluse who puts them up in his mansion. They soon discover, however, they are to become his game.Neat stuff and so is recommended. B&W.

THE BRAINIAC-Cool classic Mexican horror film has a warlock burned at the stake by the Spanish Inquisition but suddenly a comet appears and vows revenge on their descendants 300 years later with the passing of the next comet. Seems he is an alien and returns to eat people’s brains and takes the human shape of his victim’s body! A COOL horror film indeed with a neat looking alien monster! Good+ picture quality. Recommended!

THE CORPSE VANISHES-1942 dir. Wallace Fox. Almost predecessing notorious setpieces from later gialli style thrillers, Lugosi keeps his elderly wife young with injections of fluid he takes from young brides, whom he has abducted from their own weddings. He keeps the girls in the basement of his castle until the glands they provide for his use have all been tapped out.

CRASH OF THE MOONS-Fun yet very generic film from 1954 about two civilizations on a direct collision course! Peacemakers try to warn everyone but the emperoress of one moon refuses to allow outside communication with other worlds and threatens the lives of everyone on her planet/moon. Lots of fun, especially for sci-fi fans! Good-very good quality.

CRY OF THE WEREWOLF -(1944) directed by Henry Levin.  Young woman raised by gypsies is actually daughter of a werewolf. She starts killing those who know about her.

DANTE'S INFERNO -1926 rarity based upon the classic tome of the same name. Dante's visions of Hell and the afterlife are vividly depicted in the stunningly advanced silent classic. Original hand tinted version to give the illusion of color. Note: Footage from this was used in some of the collage sequences in Ken Russells great "Altered States". Okay/Good quality.

DEVIL'S MASK -(1946) directed by Henry Levin. This is the second of three films produced that were inspired by the popular radio drama "I Love A Mystery". A crashed plane that had a shrunken head aboard is the only clue to a mystery involving a secret code. With Anita Louise and Jim Bannon.

DESTINATION INNER SPACE -(1966) directed by Francis Lyon.  A mysterious object of unknown origin is detected in the area  of an experimental underwater laboratory. A group of researchers investigate and come face to face with the object, a large automated extraterrestrial probe. They board the craft and discover a small object at first considered to be some sort of instrument package, which they take back to the lab for closer inspection. It is then that events take a turn for the worse.

DR BLOOD'S COFFIN-Cool and suspenseful 1961 mad scientist flick about a young doctor who is experimenting with keeping people alive. Of course, he need living people to conduct these experiments on and seems that people are disappearing all over town. Another fun classic horror film! Good-very good picture quality. Recommended.

DR ORLOFF'S MONSTER-1964. From Jess Franco comes this cool sequel to THE AWFUL DR. ORLOFF. Orlof discovers his brother and wife are having an affair. As an act of vengeance the doc turns bubba into a zombie. Soon after Orlof's niece comes to visit and is caught up in the strange goings on. Here we get Franco's usually weird beatnic edged weirdness blended with gothic fare so you know its good!

THE EVIL EYE-Early horror film starring John Saxon about a woman who witnesses a murder but cannot remember the details. It seems that someone or something is following her and causing lots of tense situations for her. This is uncut and is in English. Directed by Mario Bava. Good picture quality.

FACE OF THE SCREAMING WEREWOLF-This 1964 classic has been called an unintentional classic by some! Researchers experimenting in hypnosis discover a woman is actually an Aztec female reincarnated. They travel to an Aztec pyramid in search of treasure and discover two mummified bodies. One is an Aztec that has already come to life while the other is brought back to life. But it is later discovered later that the second mummy is actually a werewolf! Both a werewolf and a mummy roam the streets! Stars Lon Chaney, Jr.!! Ok-good quality.

THE FLESH EATERS-Fun little film from 1964 about an airplane pilot and his two female passengers who become trapped on a desert island with flesh-eating organisms!  Supposedly, this film was reason why Night of the Living Dead wound up being retitled. Cool stuff for its time and is definitely worth a watch! B&W. Good quality.

THE GHOST-1963. Dir. Riccrdo Freda. A semi sequel to THE HORRIBLE DR. HICHCOCK This time Barbara Steele plots with her lover to kill the old guy. But Doc H. seems to return from his grave to haunt them. A classy gothic chiller that’s a MUST SEE for goth and spooky horror fans, Italian style.

THE GHOST GOES WILD -(1947) directed by George Blair. Monty Crandall is a commercial artist who ridicules a dowager with a caricature of her on a magazine cover and she sues him. His troubles are multiplied when a pretty wife  forces her attentions on him, and her gun-toting husband is somewhat incensed about it, blaming Monty. He fakes his death and returns as a ghost to frighten off the trouble-makers, but it is only when he enlists the aid of a real ghost, that his problems are solved.

THE GHOST TRAIN -(1941) directed by Walter Forde. This is the second of three films produced that were inspired by the popular radio drama "I Love A Mystery". A crashed plane that had a shrunken head aboard is the only clue to a mystery involving a secret code. With Anita Louise and Jim Bannon.

THE GHOUL-1933 Dir. T. Hayes Hunter. Boris Karloff stars in this British thriller, in most U.S. prints cut by more than ten minutes, but presented here complete. A mad Egyptologist thinks that if he can present a sacred jewel to Anubis at a specific lunar time, he'll live forever. When the jewel is removed from his corpse, he comes back looking for both it and revenge. Nice performances as with almost all British productions and superb gothic atmosphere. B&W Good-very good picture quality.

THE GIANT CLAW -(1957) Dir. Harry Sears.  yes- the obscure cult classic everyone raves about.  A pilot sees a UFO and nobody believes him.  Short and sweet- this has got the most hysterically funny muppet buzzard I've ever seen in my life- and these folks were serious when they made this thing! Fans of Ed Wood will adore this flick. Absolutely amazing, too incredible to fully describe. In English and the quality is okay, but direct from a very, very rare master.

HORRORS OF SPIDER ISLAND aka BODY IN THE WEB / GIRLS OF SPIDER ISLAND-Cheesy yet neat horror film from 1960 about plane crash survivors who end up on an island in the South Pacific that is inhabited by large man-eating spiders. This is simple except for one thing: When bitten, the people actually turn into giant spiders themselves! This is the RARE UNCUT version that features the skinny dipping scene that was cut out of most other prints. Fun viewing! Good-very good picture quality.

THE HUMAN MONSTER aka THE DARK EYES OF LONDON-1939 Dir. Walter Summers. A British production with striking visual craft for it's day, and one of the great Lugosi's few opportunities to really demonstrate his craft by playing a duel role. The tale takes place in a special home for the blind, set up as a sanctuary where the handicapped are taught trades and skills, but all is not well. Beneath the surface this haven is a front where some of the live-in guests are insured. Then murdered. Loaded with twisted atmosphere. Highly recommended for all film enthusiasts. B&W. Very good picture quality.

THE INCREDIBLE PETRIFIED WORLD-GREAT 1959 adventure/sci-fi film from Jerry Warren about four adventurers who decend to the deep depths of the ocean for research. A cool classic film!  Good picture quality. Recommended

KILLERS FROM SPACE-1954 Dir. W. Lee Wilder.  Peter Graves is an atomic scientist who vanishes after his plane crashes.  Upon reappearing, the military put him under with sodium pentothal and he relates a tale of aliens plotting to overthrow humanity.  Guys in wetsuits with ping-pong ball eyes, wretched rear screen effects and helpless garden lizards turned to dinosaurs by prosthetics glued on their backs. A Classic!! Good picture quality.

THE LAST DAYS OF POMPEII-1960 Steve Reeves in the rarity scripted in part by Sergio Leone and Sergio Cobucci. For those who just love volcanic ashes this 1960 telling of the big one has long been sought after…we got it for you! Directed by Mario Bonnard who was an Italian matinee idol in the early 1900s. Good quality.

THE LIVING DEAD – 1933 Dir. Thomas Bentley.  In this thriller a mad scientist has developed a formula that enables faked death, and zombie like trance.  Very rare. LOCK YOUR DOORS aka THE GORILLA STRIKES / THE APEMAN-Here’s a cool, OBSCURE Bela Lugosi mad scientist film from 1943. And that he does! He becomes known as “The Midnight Menace” as he along with his gorilla partner stalk and kill people all over town. Pretty fun stuff here! Directed by William Beaudine. Good picture quality. B &W.

THE LONG HAIR OF DEATH -Dir. Antonio Margheriti, starring Barbara Steele. A woman is accused of witchcraft and executed. Two daughters live on, and are involved in what may be the supernatural vengeance for their mother's horrible death. THE MAD MONSTER-1942 Dir. Simon Newfield. A patriotic mad scientist (George Zucco), attempting to create an invincible soldier experiments on a local farmhand (Glenn Strange in his first horror flick) by injecting him with wolf's blood. The end result is of course a rather unconventionally conventional "Wolfman" cash in, with a campy edge that is perfect for late night entertainment. Also includes a couple of neat trailers at the first. B&W. Very good picture quality.

THE MAGIC SERPENT :1966 Dir. Tetsuya Yamauchi.  Yes, here it is, one of the most illusive of the Japanese giant monster flicks, crossed with a samurai film. Visually very pretty, this period costume fantasy has gorgeous visuals. Instead of poor pan and scan prints, we have it in English, LBX in Good /Very Good quality!

THE MAGIC SWORD-GREAT film from 1962 about the son of a sorceress who sets out on a quest armed with his magic weapons and six magically summoned knights to kick the shit out of a dark wizard. Gordon. Very good picture quality. Recommended!

THE MANSTER-Dir. George Brakeston & Kenneth Crane. A Japanese scientist injects an American journalist with an experimental serum.  Soon after, the human guinea pig developes an eye growing from his shoulder, then an entire monstrous second head, and finally he actually splits into two entire beings and must fight his alter ego.  A classic cult film which received an obvious and warm tribute in Raimi's "Army of Darkness".  AKA "The Split". 1960.

MEDUSA AGAINST THE SON OF HERCULES-GREAT sword and sandal action from 1962 as Richard Harriosn goes against Medusa and her army of stone men in order to help a kingdom against an evil alley. LOTS of action in this baby!  Good time! Good quality and is in English language. Color. Recommended!

METROPOLIS-Very bizarre and surreal 1927 silent film from Fritz Lang that’s supposed to give us a glimpse into the future and has the human race divided up into two classes: Those who think and make the plans and those who work and actually carry out the plans. A weird masterpiece! Good quality (For its age).

THE MONSTER MAKER-1944 Ralph Morgan portrays a concert pianist with a beautiful daughter. J. Carrol Naish is a madman obsessed with desire for her. He tortures both her and her lover to death. Her ghost returns to haunt him through the possession of a sister. Good / Very good quality and rare!

NOSFERATU -Before you dismiss this 1922 silent masterwork as an easy find read the details. Most prints run about 77 minutes and are run at the improper speed of 24 frames per second. This amazing version contains footage often missing from other prints as the films source was compiled from several prints. in addition, the transfer is done at the proper speed for silent films, of 18 frames per second so the mood is restored. The running time on this baby is over 100 minutes!

THE PLANETS AGAINST US-OBSCURE Italian sci-fi film-IN ENGLISH!- from 1964 about a mysterious space alien who appears and causes trouble. Seems he is able to appear simultaneously in several locations and world leaders gather to discuss the possibilities. Lots of cheap thrills and weirdness makes this a fun flick! A bit on the dark side but is still considered good picture quality.

QUEEN OF SHEBA -Fun stuff from 1952 as King Solomon sends messangers for peace talks between Jerusalem and Sheba in an order to avoid war. But the Queen has the hots for other men and has evil motives. Fun stuff that also features the infamous scene in which Solomon attempts to slice a baby in half in order to determine the rightful mother of the child. Directed by Pietro Francisci. B & W. Good+ quality.  And in English.

SCARED TO DEATH-1947 color. Bela Lugosi in color…now that is enough to scare you, as our favorite morphine addict is at it again in this yarn about a old crack who is suffering from the terrors. Is it just her imagination running away with her? Or is it Lugosi’s frightening presence. Mental hospitals, spooky mansions, the regular, but in color damn you! Good quality.

SINBAD AND THE CALIPH OF BAGDAD :1973 Dir. Pietro Francisci. Stars Robert Malcolm and Sonia Wilson, one of the rarest of all peplums. After being mis-titled "Simbad' this picture was withdrawn but the distributor went bankrupt before fixing it so it's destined to become extinct. Sinbad is sold into slavery and winds up working aboard a ship that is transporting Scheherezade to be married to a murderous Caliph, who happens to be Sinbad's look alike. English language in good quality.

SPOOKS RUN WILD-1941 Dir. Phil Rosen. The Eastside Kids are horrified to think they've uncovered a reported psychopath. (Lugosi). A serving of camp comedy from the golden era for the discriminating collector. B&W. Good picture quality.

SWORD AND THE DRAGON   Dir. Mikhail Kochnev. A gigantic spectacle from 1956, that must be seen to be believed. Ilya is a cripple. When he aids some weary travelers, they surprise him by giving him a potion that restores his legs. He immediately becomes powerful and sets off to prove himself to his King. Doing so, he fights a wind demon that looks like a cross between a goblin and The Noid, and the evil Tugars. Ilya gets framed for a crime he didn't commit, then is freed, then finally dispatches the Tugars and their dragon. The costumes and sets are incredible, some of the effects are nice even by todays standards.  There is quite literally an army of extras in detailed costume  throughout this fantasy masterpiece. Recommended! Very good quality in English.

THEY DRIVE BY NIGHT: Dir. Arthur Woods 1939. A superbly atmospheric and clever British thriller. Also evidence that the British were likely the first to really perfect the craft of film acting. Far less stagy and forced performances than most U.S. films of the period. A real masterpiece of cinema, with so many unpredictable ideas it’ll blow your mind. Recommended. Good/Very Good quality.

THE TWONKY-1953. B/W Arch (Lights Out) Obler's tale of an evil TV set. This film was only shown once at a big Hollywood premiere and was withdrawn from distribution. A wonderful anti-television Sci-Fi comedy nightmare. Ha  Conreid's square TV set with rabbit-ear antennae comes to life, walks, does household chores with electronic beams, hypnotizes anyone who tries to stop it, and tries helpfully to take over Hans' life. Good quality.

THE VAMPIRE BAT-1933 Dir. Frank Strayer. Lionel Atwill is a looney who's concocted a very simple life form of his own creation that thrives on blood. Local villagers because of his actions and increased bat activity think a vampire is the reason. Dwight Frye is a village idiot caught in the middle by angry locals. Faye Wray is the hapless damsel. Good production values, a stellar cast and odd touches of both Dracula and frankenstein make this one very entertaining. B&W. Good-very good picture quality.

THE VAMPIRES aka GOLIATH VS THE VAMPIRES-Fun trash from 1961 stares Gordon Scott as Goliath (Maciste) who sets out to do battle with an evil warlord who has burned down his village and kidnapped the women. Seems this Viking-like warlord is a blood sucking fiend and needs the women’s blood to feed himself and his soldiers. Goliath is big and strong and kicks major ass! An interesting film with neat setpieces, decent F/X for its time and some cool monsters! A fun film! In English. Good quality.

VAMPYR-Very eerie and atmospheric film from 1932 that still packs an evil punch by today’s standards! A traveler arrives in a secluded castle and starts to see strange thins such as a scythe-bearing figure, a man with a life-like shadow, vivid dreams of his own burial and more. Soon he comes across a woman with what appears to be anemia, but is there a vampire on the prowl?? A cool and spooky film indeed! Silent with bits of audio here and there. Good quality for its age. Recommended!

THE WHITE WARRIOR-VERY HARD TO FIND Steve Reeves film from 1961 has Reeves leading his tribe against the Russian imperialistic armies. That night, an overturned coffin opens and Vanessa (Yvette Rees), the witch buried centuries ago, rises from the grave for revenge. In English in very good quality!.

THE WITCH'S CURSE-GREAT horror/peplum from 1962 as Maciste shows up in a Scottish village during the colonial era and journeys straight into hell itself to find an old witch! Seems that an old evil witch was burned at the stake by the church for her satanic practice of witchcraft and as she dies she curses the entire village-a curse that lasts for a 100 years! The scenes from hell are actually quite good for its time and so is a lot of fun! A must have for true horror film fans! In English. Faded color. Good quality. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
